what I offer
-
You can meet me for one or two sessions to untangle a problem. This isn’t therapy as such, but a chance to bring our brains and hearts together to find clarity in a messy moment.
Or you might want to meet for a number of sessions – I offer brief therapy (8-10 sessions) or longer term therapy (which might span months or years).
I take an approach focused on you as a human and what you are currently experiencing. I am able to work with different diagnoses and problems but understanding you as a whole person or family is at the centre of my work.
To enquire about therapy please fill out the form below and we will discuss the information you share with me and suggest an appropriate course of therapy for your needs.

EMDR therapy, which stands for Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, is a powerful and effective form of psychotherapy that can help you process and heal from distressing and traumatic experiences.
During an EMDR session, I will guide you to recall a distressing memory while engaging in controlled eye movements, tapping, or auditory stimulation. By doing so, we can unlock your brain's natural ability to heal and integrate the traumatic experience, allowing you to release the emotional charge associated with it.
EMDR therapy can facilitate profound transformations, enabling you to lessen the impact of disturbing memories and beliefs associated with them, whilst finding greater peace and resilience.

I offer a comprehensive and compassionate approach to couple therapy.
With expertise in relationship dynamics and family systems and extensive experience working with couples, I am committed to helping partners navigate their challenges and develop a healthier, more fulfilling connection.
I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for couples to openly communicate and explore their emotions. Through active listening and effective communication techniques, I help couples identify and address underlying issues that contribute to their conflicts.
My goal is to assist couples in enhancing their understanding, building trust, and fostering intimacy. By combining evidence-based interventions with a client-centered approach, I guide couples towards creating stronger bonds, promoting greater emotional satisfaction, and discovering new ways to cultivate long-lasting love and partnership.

In my practice of systemic family therapy, I offer a compassionate and holistic approach to understanding and healing family dynamics. I deeply value the interconnectedness of family members and believe that by exploring the patterns, beliefs, and interactions within the family system, positive change can be achieved.
I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for all family members to express their thoughts, emotions, and concerns. Through active listening and effective communication techniques, I aim to promote understanding, empathy, and enhance family relationships. With my expertise in systemic therapy techniques and interventions, I assist families in identifying and resolving conflicts, improving communication, and fostering healthier ways of relating to one another.
Working collaboratively, I strive to empower families to create lasting positive changes and cultivate a harmonious and nurturing environment for the entire family unit.

I offer a nurturing and therapeutic space for children and young people through play therapy sessions. With a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges they face, I provide support, guidance, and empathy to help them navigate their emotions and experiences.
Using various play materials and techniques, I facilitate self-expression and exploration, allowing children and young people to make sense of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Through the power of play and the arts, I help them develop healthy coping strategies, enhance their self-esteem, strengthen their communication skills, and promote overall emotional well-being.
With a compassionate and client-centered approach, I strive to create a safe environment where children and young people can heal, grow, and thrive.

In my Non Violent Resistance (NVR) group therapy sessions, I offer a safe and supportive environment where individuals can explore and address their struggles with relational conflicts, power struggles, and harmful behaviours.
By implementing the principles of NVR, I guide participants in developing effective strategies to create lasting change within themselves and their relationships. Through group discussions, experiential exercises, and skill-building activities, I empower participants to understand and communicate their needs, set healthy boundaries, and foster non-violent responses to conflict.
Together, we work towards cultivating greater empathy, understanding, boundaries and authentic connection in both personal and professional relationships.

I supervise both qualified and experienced psychotherapists and counsellors as well as those who are still in training. I think at best supervision nurtures a culture of high support and high challenge. It is often encouraging, at times instructive, educative and always takes into account, and account of, the relationship between supervisor and supervisee, and the matrix of supervisor, supervisee and client.
Developing self awareness is a key element to a sound supervision; this means as well as working with the client material, part of the focus is with the therapist’s process, including body awareness, embodied transference, parallel process and meta-communication. There is an educative dimension to supervision, experiential and at times skills based learning.
